Workers' Statute Law, as amended per Law 12/2021 of September 28 2021 (“Riders Law”)
Summary
The Spanish Workers’ Statute Law regulates individual and collective employment relations in Spain. The amendment of 2021 adds the right of works councils, to be informed about the functioning of algorithms or artificial intelligence systems where such systems affect decision-making that may impact working conditions. It also adds a rebuttable employment presumption for individuals providing paid delivery services via digital platforms.
