Naples Charter

Summary

Signed in January 2020 by the City of Naples, the Italian trade union confederations Italian General Confederation of Labour (CGIL), Italian Confederation of Workers' Trade Unions (CISL), and Italian Labour Union (UIL), and representatives of platform riders, this charter sets out a series of non-binding principles regarding working conditions for platform workers. It includes references to remuneration, data protection, algorithm transparency, occupational safety and health, non-discrimination, and collective representation. The charter is not legally binding.
