Massachusetts Ballot Measure (2024) – Legislative Proposal 3: Unionisation for Transportation Network Drivers
Summary
Legislative Proposal 3 sets out collective bargaining rights for transportation network drivers in Massachusetts. According to this regulation, transportation network drivers shall have the right of self-organisation, to form, join, or assist driver organisations, to bargain collectively through representatives of their own choosing, and to engage in concerted activities for collective bargaining or mutual aid or protection, free from interference, restraint, or coercion by transportation network companies. In addition, it established that drivers also have the right to refrain from such activities, and to confer with network companies at any time, provided there is no interference with the rights guaranteed by this section.
