Collective bargaining agreement
Voluntary company agreement on Code of Conduct for crowdworkers
Summary
This Code of Conduct, launched in October 2015 and updated in 2017, is a voluntary initiative involving several crowdworking platforms and the German Crowdsourcing Association, in collaboration with IG Metall. It outlines ten principles for cooperation among platforms, clients, and crowdworkers. The Code addresses remuneration, data protection, task clarity, and dispute resolution through an Ombuds Office. It does not define employment status and applies only to participating platforms. For more information, please refer to the full text of the code of conduct (last checked Nov. 2025).
