Summary

Signed in January 2021 and updated in February 2024 by Assogrocery and Unione Shopper Italia, this collective agreement sets working conditions for self-employed grocery delivery workers ("shoppers"). Workers are remunerated per delivery and required to accept all tasks during agreed shifts. The agreement includes provisions for unpaid leave, illness, maternity, and limited access to social protection. Scope of the agreement

Applies to self-employed grocery shoppers affiliated with platforms represented by Assogrocery in Italy.

Thematic areas

In the case of hospitalization or oncological pathologies, the relationship is suspended and the final term is automatically extended for a period equal to the duration of the suspension, for a maximum of 60 days. In these cases, the shopper is entitled to a daily allowance based on the average remuneration earned in the previous six months. In other cases of illness and in the case of an accident, the relationship is suspended (and extended), but without compensation. In case of pregnancy, the relationship can be suspended for nine months, of which seven months are before the birth. There is an allowance, paid for five months, provided that the shopper has carried out more than 500 assignments since the beginning of the relationship.
